TAKING RESPOSIBILTY FOR SELF AND ENVIRONMENT - 2/13/2024

Optimistic, idealist, naivete. Yes, maybe. Maybe not. What if it worked? Real. This is what I believe, and I, as the author, stress the impact of individual choices on both personal health and environmental issues, drawing from my expertise in whole foods nutrition. I advocate for a proactive approach to pollution, envisioning a future where accessible tools and innovations, like plastic-dissolving enzymes and carbon capture systems (at the tailpipe source), become integral to everyday life. This optimistic perspective encourages fellow consumers to make mindful decisions, contributing collectively to a cleaner and healthier world.

As individuals, we often have the solution to the problems we individually create. Lifestyle, for example: What I eat directly affects my health. Eating a pint of ice cream a week means an extra five-pound difference in my body composition; it may affect my cholesterol, sleep, and energy level. Without that pint of ice cream on a regular basis, I stand to have energy stored throughout the day, and a healthier weight. At least, that is what I chose to notice. 

Studying the effects of whole foods nutrition over the last 16 years, and as a nutrition therapist specialist, I credit whole foods nutrition for providing me balanced energy, freedom from sinus infections, avoiding UTIs, allowing me to alleviate symptoms of hot flashes, and maintain a healthier weight. Finding enjoyment and pride in choosing health every day has been freeing! 

In many ways, I am personally responsible for the state of my health and my body. In parallel, I have also contributed to the state of the world's pollution crisis. It isn't always everyone else's responsibility to clean up the messes we have created. Likewise, our atmosphere's carbon emissions aren't everyone's or someone else's problem or fault. Nope! Humans consume and, therefore, are directly responsible as consumers. Purchasing services and products is a direct way to contribute to the problem or to be a part of the solution. There is a lot there. Industry, housing, clothing and transportation are all contributing factors, and I understand it is challenging to simplify in this manner. Hear me out!

The caveat. Having access to affordable products and tools that allow me to become a more environmentally responsible consumer, which will enable me to make better decisions and make a difference, is what I want to buy more of. We see the pollution in the air and plastic in our waterways. Most don't prefer it to be there. We see trash on our streets and along the highways, and most of us would like that trash not to exist. Not on our roadways and sidewalks. Taking responsibility for the source is why we are heading toward an evolved and newly improved industry! Plastic dissolving enzymes, tailpipe carbon capture systems, and composting will be the norm. Children of the future can ask, "What was pollution?" 

We can take responsibility on the individual level, and we, as consumers, must demand that the tools are there for us to become more responsible. Most people would say that it was a good thing that condoms were invented. The sanitation system was a good idea, and sink disposals are a great solution to scraps clogging the sewer. So many inventions have helped us evolve into a healthier society. Now, it is time to match the need for capturing and eliminating pollution (at the end user site) for those who wish to do so. Taking responsibility for my pollution contribution is how I see a path to a solution. To be aware of how I am complicit in the state of the world is what we all are capable of if we choose to consider what that looks like on an individual level. It isn't always someone else's problem. Instead, I am empowered to make the necessary changes to help turn the tide of pollution. As a consumer, I seek the tools to make healthier, smarter, and environmentally sound choices. Reduce, reuse, recycle - elevated!

To strive to purchase less packaging, to consider driving an EV, or to try and make a small change this year that is different from years past. I can occasionally bike or walk to the store and choose to shop wisely regularly to reduce the chance of having to throw spoiled food away. Today, I can imagine that the plastic tsunami in our landfills and oceans will be less and eventually disappear as a direct result of the available options to us as consumers in the future. "I also take this into consideration." Imagine that we, as human consumers, could see a plastic water bottle or a plastic clamshell salad container dissolve within seconds of placing it in the recycling container. As an end user, my choices could be considerably less stressful! No more wondering how many years it will take to decompose in the landfill. It is free of concern as I focus on using less plastic to support changes in the first place. I want to have the option to buy and retrofit our personal cars' carbon capture system. I could then exchange my carbon pod at the carbon pod exchange station and be compensated for the deposit. No more contributing to the carbon in the atmosphere. Government, public, and private sector vehicles follow suit! Check out Remora. They are already capturing carbon from semi-trucks. This isn't fantasy fiction, folks. Real. The carbon capture ecosystem services must be integrated into the future's commonplace cities, stations, and transportation systems. Incorporating these things into the new standard will make a difference in the future!

This sharing aims to offer respect to humanity - EI and AI working together to achieve a future of access to well-being. Working with companies such as The Boring Company and Tesla (and not limited to them) and the people of pioneering communities to bridge these ideas of housing. As a mom and a citizen, over the course of time I have dedicated myself to making a difference.

Because freedom, quality of life, and pride in choice are essential! To create a new sustainable housing industry that will make a positive impact and a difference in the lives of billions of people today and for hundreds of years. Together! People sharing and combining great ideas - old and new - can truly make a lasting difference - for the goodness sake of it!

What: 

A structure built on the foundation of pride, health, freedom, and compassion. Collaborative efforts, pooling skills, and resources. The concept of the Purpose Structure could be built as a SLI (Sustainable Living Innovations) – Modular construction. Fixed structures or mobile, integrated, automated, hydraulic elevator systems will be able to insert shipping container units into a reserved compartment inside the Worldwide Purpose Structure. With additional storage units and parking below ground, connected to underground transport and supported by Smart City technology, this structure acts as a catalyst for the future. The structure stays the same, and what is in it continues to evolve with the changing times. This model serves as a "pod pad" with open-air access. The internal plug-and-play design incorporates utilities and will sync with the stowed unit. Services and retail components suit the needs of the individual community, and each unique Worldwide Purpose Structure is situated along walking, biking, and light rail/train corridors. This concept will lend to a streamlined, clean appearance with an industrial simplicity façade, allowing the interior to spill out of doors onto a splendid organic flower, vegetable, and fruit community garden that encompasses the entire building.

Who: 

Individuals who appreciate the minimalist lifestyle and modern-day technology, car sharing, and public transport opportunities are attracted to the Worldwide Purpose Structure. The young and old alike, students, minimalist retirees, active lifestyle living folks, employee housing solutions, those who are in transition or homeless, those who are in recovery, handicapped/special needs individuals, military, dual-state/multi-home/worldwide travelers – are just some of the home dwellers who will benefit.

How: 

When the need to relocate to a different city arises, the owner or lessor of the living pod/container home (or capsule)  can reserve a compartment in the desired city location via an app (think Airbnb) and can relocate effortlessly (think Lyft) to the Worldwide Purpose Structure. The automated elevator system selects, extracts, loads the unit, and a semi relocates the unit to the desired destination.

This vertical, net zero "compartment structure community" will allow for a living/dwelling pod to be delivered, inserted, and effortlessly relocated anywhere in the world. The Worldwide Purpose Structures are designed to be erected in densely populated areas and will link, bridge, or incorporate existing, workable concepts such as the examples listed below: 

· Shipping container dwellings 

· Solar and energy storage 

· SLI (Sustainable Living Innovations)

 Advanced elevator systems 

· Rail and semi-transport systems/airline freight/shipping logistics 

· Retail/applicable services/health and healing modalities 

· Below-ground storage units 

· Tunnel system for delivery of dwelling units and link to underground transport systems

Mentioned above are a few of the cogs in this wheel, and not limited to. Enhanced quality of life for all involved, disaster relief opportunities, community building, and the creation of new human jobs also stand to be the result of such a feat.
